1998 LT46........advice/help

   Re-con head needed for 2.8 td........1998 lt 46..........had probs with engine and removed the head to get crack tested and cleaned......the machine shop then skimmed it!!!!! which apparently you are not supposed to do......could not get any other head gasket other than a standard one.........they don't make any other thicknesses apparently............consequently the van now runs really slowly and has recently snapped a couple of rockers....3...at different times times and on different motorways.........van will now only do about 65mph............

	Ooh that's not good. You probably know that a Exchange head from VW is �600 plus VAT. Did you ask them to skim the head? If not put the ball in their court by asking for them to supply a new head.
