Hi help anyone got a problem vw t4 2.5cc AAF engine. Van starts runs a few seconds then stops any idea what could be causing this do not think it's the fuel pump just away to check this if it runs disconnected from the van wiring then something else is kicking it out anyone tell me what else l can check thanks

Have it checked for fault codes if there is nothing obvious.

You can download VCDS lite for free and get a cable off ebay for £5ish if you can't take it anywhere.

Hi got it going not sure exactly what the problem was but think it was probely an air lock in the pressure side of the fuel system connected the fuel pump connections to separate battery and ran it for a short time then tried it and it fired up as it normally would hope its fixed have not tried it on the road yet

That's what I first thought of too.  

I don't know about T4s, but on all my VAG vehicles you get an error message to tell you that there is an immobiliser problem (key transponder not recognised).
