The first 2 links still seem to be working, seems to just be the linux links that are broken.

not sure how much help they'll be though as I think they're all for LT1 model (up to approx 95/96)

The wiring is the same, basically, from 1976-1996 and over the range 28-55.
The differences between LT28-LT55 are small for our purposes, front suspension principally.

This is brilliant. Looks like there are quite a few to choose from. For years I've only had a French version for my vehicle. Translating wiring diagrams to English is not fun. Do you know which link would be for an 87 diesel manual lt 40 I can see a few possibilities but I'm a bit of a dufus. Any guidance is appreciated

Yes, 2.4 engine details are in the supp section.
Apart from that it's the same.

Welcome to the forum, any problems just ask chances are someone has been there before.

I bought my LT yesterday, and have been looking for workshop manuals all day! Thanks for sharing all the files, they will be really useful to get to know the Van.
Does anyone know if there was a Haynes manual for the 1983 LT31 2.4 Petrol?

Hi guys !

I'm new here, but hope to stay for a long time.
Last week I was browsing the forum for info about the gear box and diff ratios and I found some links to some documentation that was in German with VIN decoding info and all the gear boxes, engines and diffs ever built. Unfortunately I didn't bookmark those links at the time. And now I'm desperately searching for them and can't seem to locate them anywhere. So I'm asking here for your help, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

Thanks.

Hi All just acquired a copy of some genuine VW Workshop manuals for early LT's, probably the same as what is available to download on here but i've not checked yet.

Includes the following ;

Running Gear LT 40/45/50 Jan 1983 Edition

4 Speed Manual gearbox 015 and final drive May 1982 Edition

5 Speed Manual gearbox 008/L and final drive May 1983 Edition

Maintenance March 1983 Edition

2.0 Litre Petrol Engine

4 Cylinder Diesel Engine

also some other updated bulletins for various sections

Could possibly add to existing information? (if I can get time to scan it all!)

LT40 2.4TD (DV) Camper D562 RCY
Discovery 200 TDI
Discovery 300 TDIx3 (Tetley,Lileth & ????)
