After the tribulations of kindasquirrelly and, happily, the joyous outcome at the hands of AJKThompson of Seahouses, I suggest we compile a list of the helpful folks to help out poorly LTs on their holidays.

As AndyT says, lets start it and see how it goes.Thumbs Up

All you people who have good experiences, and want to save me the searching, please add your garage to the list.

Since not everyone, me, does not have mobile internet, I will be using a paper version called a list.

Edit: not directed specifically at SablePoot.Wink
As much information as possible too please. If the company has a website, no matter how basic, include a link or URL. their map may be more accurate than SatNav or Google.

Edit: There may be a lot of these.

Please PM me the ZeeMap edit link and the name of the marker to which it refers. I am keeping a list of all entries, and this means that details can be changed by me too rather than just the original poster.

Ta muchly boys and girls.Thumbs Up

Excellent idea LTcamper89, especially as we are going on our hols to cornwall soon and you never know... This list may come in handy !!

My recommended VW "guru's" for the Cotswolds / Oxfordshire area are -

Anthony Chester Vehicle repairs
Greatworth
Banbury
Oxon
Tel.07921867621 / 01295712761

Martin Prout
Springfields vehicle maintenance
Tetbury
Glos
Tel. 01666505010

Both are reliable, knowledgeable, and have done plenty of work for us on our VW's....they aren't afraid of an old LT either ;0)

I'll add the garage near where I used to work - an all round decent bunch who are long time Volvo specialists so are familiar with the 6 pot diesel engine. They even lend me the special tools Smile

Moduron Y Bala
Westend Garage
High Street
Bala

Mid engined, 6 cylinder, turbocharged 2 seater - it can only be a VW LT!

Thank you Mat.

Having checked the map, the marker must be the middle of the postcode area, so you appear to need the junction of Arenig Street and High Street(A494). 52.909235,-3.600603

?Would you confirm that please Mat?

Having trouble locating this company Sablepoot.Confused

?Can you find the full address and postcode?

My reasoning for being pedantic is that I would rather have a definitive information set, so there is no searching on a dwindling battery in the dark in the middle of nearly nowhere.Thumbs Up

Got an idea, how about a map like the LT Owners.
Not sure how much info you can add but it may be worth a look.

Flipping good idea that one AndyT.Thumbs Up

That is why you are higher up the food chain than I.

Edit: See if this fits all chaps and chapesses

Edit: To add a marker 'Map Access' top right and type LTGoodGarages. I have placed one marker after checking with StreetView since the postcode was not accurate.

Remember, you may be the cursing an incorrect location.Handshake

...and as a little giggle ?What's here? 44.404477,4.129974

Correct address but the little man on the google map is well off course - don't know if he is the marker !?!
If you go to the satellite map, find village of greatworth, you can see home nuseries to the left above the village, greatworth park and the vw camper company to the right above village.... Sorry I don't think the road has a name it's in the sticks

as a fellow Welshman I can honestly say the road through Bala is not a long one, normally taken slowly due to tourists and locals as mat says you wont miss the garage

I mean't for locating stuff quickly.
Like you say I always have a list like the LT Register, which I email to myself after any changes as an extra backup.
Good work with the map, should be really easy to find help.

P.S. Now a stickySmile
