8090 forum and website are down for up to 24 hours, hopefully less..

The whole site is being moved...

This has been necessitated by severely degraded performance for the last few days.

Hopefully this will resolve these problems (but there is no cast iron guarantee Smile

Sorry, but needs must!

I imagine you and the other technical bods who have been grappling with this issue for weeks will be quite glad to see the back of the existing server. Are we staying with the same provider (I think that's the terminology) or have we had to 'let them go'?

Don't know if it's forum or server, but suspect server.  Ask Admin (HarryMann, Mocki, etc.)  They are the ones trying to fix it.Wink

Yes, the very same forum that had no serious problems and kept running for 6 weeks after installation

But put on a new shared server this afternoon...

Until we move to a dedicated server or a more expensive host, we can but wait and see whether we will be put on a server that offers sufficient resources for us alongside 50 others, non of whom are 'neighbours from hell'
