Evening Chaps,

Since fitting a new accelerator cable, I've noticed I can feel a lot more vibration in the accelerator pedal.

I've popped the hatch off, and been giving it a rev by hand, and around 2200 - 2500 rpm there is a very powerful fast vibration.  With my hand on the throttle level and LDA, it's like a powerful buzzing.

Any idea's what this may be, or suggestions of things to check?

cheers

Chris

The buzz is much more noticeable on the pump than through the cable..

disconnect the cable from the pump... see if it still does it?

It sounds like the cable rattling in the conduit. My Westy used to do it, i think i sprayed grease down the conduit to stop it

Did you disturb the cold start cable? Being a solid core that one often vibrates through to the dashboard area. I reckon it sounds fairly normal and nothing to be concerned about.  Have you got the rubber grommet in the cable mounting at the pump end?

Yeah the rubber grommet is there, not knowingly disturbed the cold start cable.

I'll have to try and get some hours under the lid done, see if I can fund the source of the vibrations.

Is it normal for the pump to vibrate , very powerfully.  its like a hammer drill being used full speed.
