help please my ej22 engine cut out the other night now i cant get it going again, i have spark and fuel, i have checked all wiring thats ok, i have changed all relays, when i turn the ingition off i still have 7.2 volts, so i checked it and its in the subaru loom somewhere would it be the ecu as thats all i have to check now, any help would be good

I had one like that.
Turned out it was the plug on the alternator. It seems the ecu wants a signal back from the alternator that the engine is turning before it will let it start. Or something. |

How long after turning it off do you still have voltage? The system stays alive for a short time after switching off the ignition. Of course... 7.2V is a strange amount to have anywhere in the subaru loom... where are you measuring it? |
