help please my ej22 engine cut out the other night now i cant get it going again, i have spark and fuel, i have checked all wiring thats ok, i have changed all relays, when i turn the ingition off i still have 7.2 volts, so i checked it and its in the subaru loom somewhere would it be the ecu as thats all i have to check now, any help would be good

I had one like that.
Turned out it was the plug on the alternator.
It seems the ecu wants a signal back from the alternator that the engine is turning before it will let it start.
Or something.

How long after turning it off do you still have voltage? The system stays alive for a short time after switching off the ignition.

Of course... 7.2V is a strange amount to have anywhere in the subaru loom... where are you measuring it?
