While panicking I forgot to look. I did stall it but then she would turn over but not start. We are leaving Sunday so I'll ring the AA first thing

i have had this on mine, and the fault on mine lies in the second grey relay in the panel under the drivers seat. if it won't turn off, i have to remove this relay and that sorts it. Also the heater fan, sometimes it won't turn off and if i turn the heater fan off the engine will stop.

Mine started when the blower stopped working - checked the fan, relay, fuse, resistor, in the end it was the motor that shuts the flap on above the blower fan.
