Anyone got a recommendation for an acid resistant paint for a battery compartment? Needs to be easy to source ie availablein UK and affordable for the average diy-er.

You will probably have to buy enough to paint the whole van!  Most sellers are expecting to sell in large quantities and they suggest a 2-pack paint system.

Typically people insert a plastic tray under the battery to catch anything that comes out of the battery and this will then evaporate leaving the solids behind.  Therefore there is no need to paint with any specialist paint.
