Hi -

I am re-fitting the tailgate central locking actuator into late t3
at some point it has had a replacement non-central locking  tailgate

The wiring is in there and working and I have a replacement actuator (T4 with adaptor harness) and a replacement mounting bracket. The VAG factory diagrams show very little detail and the replacement door does not appear to have mounting holes drilled for the actuator holder.

Can any kind soul post a few pictures (and if possible measurements of the position of the mounting holes in the tailgate for the bracket)

also - i've had trouble getting the short metal hook for the actuator to lock for the tailgate - i've got one from a side door - does anyone know if they are the same length ? if not can anyone measure (or take a photo next to a ruler) so I can make one up ?

THANKYOU !

It is not the same lock, the central locking lock turns a little further so you can open it with the key when the rest of the doors is locked.

Hiya Kris,

if that were possible (with a ruler or similar so I can copy measurements) that would be amazing!

thanks

Hi Kris -

how did you get on?

or anyone else with tailgate central locking -

any chance of snapping a picture of the tailgate with a ruler in shot so I can see where to drill holes?

thx
