No photos today either unfortunately but I have got the panel between the bathroom and wardrobe in. I've also got the gearbox back, ready to go in.

Got the gearbox back in last night but no time to bleed the clutch or take it for a test drive. It will be nice to get it down off the ramps....

New toy for the Cheetah - I've just bought a DVD head unit to go with the LCD screen I already had.

Suppose I ought to finish off making it water tight now....

Bit of progress this weekend - I've fitted a new skylight and the head unit. Also picked up some new wheels, not fitted yet....

I see it's turned around!

Did it do this under it's own steam?

Did you see what was cast into the back of the block while you were under there? 1.9D?

Yes, I just had to replace the timber in the middle section. The aluminium was good enough to re-use.

I've got the black stuff off my hands but the van is smeared with it. I don't know what to use to get it off - petrol? Thinners?

Excellent work stew very inspirational. I'm glad to see you treated the wood, we at least you had a can near by.
How common is it for a coach built to suffer from rot?

they will all have rot somewhere, if not it's never been used or already been repaired, the level of rot will vary but always be prepared (and haggle the price accordingly) for a little work

even with no leaks or german 'alterations' the wood has been subject to condensation for 20 years

I think they are off a CLK, they are 16s. It's really not like me to have anything stock height - Mr Baxter was talking me into lowering it the other week...

Update - spent this morning working off last nights beer by fitting a new exhaust. The old one had loose baffles and was rattling like mad as well as blowing.

Also took off the accessory fog light and put the gubbins inside the main tail light housing - much neater.
