have spied some VW LT35 CAM LIFTERS on ebay. can anyone tell me if my VW lt35 has a hydraulic system, as these tappets are hydraulic...

my engine is an LT35 diesel, 2.4, turbo, straight 6, 1988.

ps - i will update on my engine change saga soon... all is well... passed mot eventually... just engine is very noisy... i thought that if i could get these cam lifters cheaply then i would be saving money for later...

The guy dont say much about them does he i think our older type motor has tappets that you need to shim up ive got the 2.4td dv engine in mine and it dont rattle on start up like old golfs with hydraulic lifters do .
