Can you techies just confirm for me, how to install a new fuel pump (inline)So I've bought a 5/6 psi ext pump because i think my intank pump is tired and the job to put new one in looks too much for me and quite expensive yet no more effective than an exterior one

Bolt pump to chassis lower than lowest part of tank near fuel line, cut and connect
black to chassis
Live on the tank pump to be put on the new pump

Sounds easy?

What about the pump in the tank? does it also need power to stay open or free flowing? or will the replacement pull the fuel threw it?
