Hello,
I'm wondering, With a classic T3 camper interior you are almost automatically attached to a "westfalia" Interior.
I personally am curious if there are alternatives?
I find that sleeping in warmer climates when the side cupboard is still there is too warm for me,(small and 2 persons.)
I think I prefer too keep the tin roof and a wide bed, without the side cupboard.

anyone here who has some usefull suggestions?

Much appriciated.

Thanks, Bart

I agree with you. At home our bed is 160cm wide, nice and comfy. at our cottage in the forrest, by a lake it is 140cm, no problem. Up in the alkove in our Karmann LT the matress is 120cm wide but there is 20cm of flat area,  on each side of the matress top and that is Ok, we sleep there for 4 weeks in the summer, but in our T3 Reimo it is 120cm and walls on both sides and also a little bitt narrower at the rear and that is to narrow. We don't sleep wery whell there. Between the cupbord and the rear side window it is about 5cm of space, and a curtain and there is a back wall on the cabinet. I am about putting a thin sheet of aluminium on the inside of the glass to protect the window, remowe the rear wall in the cupboard and trim the cabinet so it is more narrow, i hope to gain 5-6-7-8 cm on the width of the bed and rear seat, and i think that is just the few cm i need to sleep better. Some times we use our T4 Caravele 8 seater on shorter camping trips and just use the 120cm mattres from the alcove in our Karmann. We sleep well there too.
I think some thing simmilar can be done to the Westfalia also.

What about a "surf" interior? one big bench from side to side behind the front seats.
