Hi there. I have a (LHD) 1999 LT 28 that I've owned from nearly new, having bought it while living in Italy. The original water pump failed a few weeks ago and it's in with a local mechanic for new water pump and belt. However, he's telling me that he can't find any factory timing marks anywhere and so it's taking a long time because when he took off the sprocket on the crank that has some shim behind it, and it was seized, the crank moved, so the timing is now out.
Can anyone please help with where these marks might be found? I know that usually a water pump/belt change should be a what, 2/3 hous job, but this is becoming a bit ridiculous. Thanks! |
