OK It's no secret that I'm trying to sell my mk1 Caddy Van, but I'm interested to see what - if anything anyone knows about them???  I hear that they were bought in to the uk as pick-ups and converted by VW UK from new?  It is listed on the V5 as a van.  I believe that I've only ever seen one other on the road - and that was about 10 years ago!  I wonder how many are left???  (how many were made even)?

What a shame!!!  Funny when i sold it on eBay, I had a few people say that they have one - so I think you are now number 4 that I know of in existance!!!!

Hope you enjoy it!!!

Don't know if you do the shows - but I'll be at VW Action this coming weekend!!!

Cheers

Jon

I daren't, I quite fancy a camper, and it would just end up with me touring round the for sale section! Vehicle No 5 and still no house.... (because its not yet built, not because I've elected to live in four cars!)

Its not Aircooled, It's Airconditioned.

Did GTI Engineering do the conversions ? as they did have a close relationship with VW UK to my knowledge.

I had a Caddy van a few years ago, bought for £200, stuck a Turbo diesel in it, and drove 6ooomiles round europe, and actually lived in it, WITH girlfriend and two surfboards. Have a set of rear doors in the barn if anyone needs them, replaced glass with perspex tho.

My mates called it the Pope mobile, due to high roof and narrow chassis!

Keep it real peeps....
