Right. You cannot post pictures here until you have 20 posts under your belt. I have set it like this so I don't end up hosting pictures for people to use on other forums, and basically I don't want this place full of porn that someone uploaded while I wasn't watching. Theres a time and a place for porn and here isn't it. Once you have had your account enabled then you will need to go to your control panel and enable WYSIWYG editor (What You See Is What You Get). Once that is done you will get another button above the text field. When you are ready to upload a picture in your post click this button, that will open a new box. Press browse to search for your required picture. Find the picture that you want and press okay. You'll get another asking to be patient as the picture makes it's way from your computer to the web server. That's it! It's that simple! Just a few pointers, there is a 100k limit to the size of the picture that you upload, this is to save space on the server. What this means is that if a pictures physical size is over 100k the upload will fail and you will ave wasted your time! A good size to resize your pictures to is 400x300 pixels. Have fun, enjoy the pictures. SImon. Edited by Tee3 - 02 Dec 09 at 13:02 |

Oh, and once you've uploaded a picture please press enter as this will place stuff on top of each other, if you don't the forum ends up about 6ft wide!

as far as resizing, you can do it with Paint which ships with windows...
open the image, press ctrl+W, enter a percentage in the top 2 boxes... keep them the same or your image will come out stretched one way or the other... what percentage you use will depend on the original image size... then just click "File" and "Save as"... Oh yeah, make sure you save as a JPEG otherwise the file will be MAHOOOOOOSIVE! |
