Hello,
Long time no see. My friend has just aquired a x reg lt 35. He works for a council transport sceme and they gave him the vehicle for one reason or another. Basically he ran it for a couple of days then it started a strange fault where he turns it over - it fires once then cuts out. Like an immobiliser is cutting in. Then it will stop doing it for a day or so. He knows nothing about the vehicle - if it has an immobiliser it's a factory install as no visable signs of it. He says it beeps a lot when he puts key in, and beeps some more dependant on what position the keys at Anyone got any ideas??? Tom |

my first option would be to find out who used to drive it for the council and ask them if it's got an immobiliser system on it, and if so how it works.

Trace ignition wiring, will have some 0.5 mm black wiring leading to a black box under seat/or fusebox area, most councils used Maple systems, also check around pedals for a "Anti hijack switch" so when you press a pedal whilst engine running [lots of municipal vans have to keep running] it will cut engine power, trace all non standard wiring to its source and remove, most immobilizers only interrupt standard wiring systems.
